1. MONDAY:
Last week there were SO.MANY.SANDWICHES. Dared to be different this week, starting with Bacon Cheddar Pinwheels!! For more deets, check out the actual lunch post here. ๐
2. TUESDAY:
Pizza Lunchables for Big Sis complete with Applegate pepperoni, pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese, accompanied by Peeled Snacks Apple Clusters, sugar snap peas and carrots with ranch and a protein bar.
Little Sis opted for a cheese and cracker Lunchables. This one was inspired by this awesome lunch from Peanut Blossom. With carrots and and sugar snap peas with ranch, flower-cup cantaloupe (I was feeling a but cutesy today. I don’t normally feel cutesy, so I embraced it.) A Kidz Cliff Bar and a homemade chocolate chip cookie smuggling some whole wheat flour, ground flax seed and wheat germ. ๐
3. WEDNESDAY:
Tortellini! Organic, from Whole Foods. With the spaghetti sauce on the side, just like Little Sis likes it. Served with grapes, sugar snap peas and ranch, goldfish crackers and Pepperidge Farms’ Dark Chocolate Milano cookies.
4. THURSDAY:
Thursday was a special day because that’s the day my book review and giveaway of my bento buddy Anna’s new how to bento book (Happy Bento! Lunches on the Go) went live. Check it out and enter to win here. Little Sis was the lucky one who got the lunch since Big Sis already had a pizza lunchables the other day plus she’s not as into tomatoes as Little Sis is. For more deets on this lunch, be sure to check out my Book Review & Giveaway post!
And here’s Big Sis’ lunch – a cheese and crackers lunchables very similar to Little Sis’ from Tuesday. Apparently I didn’t pack either one of them enough food today (between snack and lunch) because they both resorted to buying a little extra from the cafeteria. Whoospie! My bad! I guess they are growing girls with hungry appetites!
FRIDAY:
I’ve run out of steam and didn’t feel like even thinking about packing lunch so I resorted to one of the girls’ favorites: Mini Pizzas from the frozen section of Trader Joe’s (Spizzico di pizza). They come in a pack of 12, so 6 each is what they get. They are ALWAYS a hit and super duper easy to throw in the toaster oven in the mornings. I make sure to let them cool off a bit before putting the lid on so they stay crispy-ish. I’m pretty sure they’re room temp by the time the girls get ’em, but they don’t mind one bit. Here’s Little Sis’ version with sugar snap peas and ranch, cantaloupe, crackers and salami and Annie’s Fruit snacks. Oh and a Cascadian Farm Chocolate Chip Granola bar. THAT should be enough! ๐

There is no temperature at which pizza is bad–it's great hot, cold, or room temperature! I'm sure they love it however it's served.
